Iconic to every Shire-sider, Summer Salt Restaurant has held pride of place along the shoreline of Elouera Beach for over 19 years. And though we all had a moment of 'wait, what?!' when its doors closed, it’s already back with a bold new look, ready to usher in a new era.

A celebration of simplicity, elegance and the vibrance of its location, Summer Salt’s transformation blends modern minimalism with the familiar timelessness of the Australian coastline. A cleverly thought-out design by Sydney Restaurant Group Director, Perry Drakopoulous, the interiors follow a colour palette carefully chosen to keep the endless blue horizon in focus, ensuring guests are connected from every vantage point.

The menu, created by Head Chef Eddie Yardemian and Group Executive Chef Adam Spencer, explores a contemporary twist on Italian dining with a strong seafood focus. "Diners can anticipate traditional regional Italian flavours reimagined through a modern lens," says Chef Spencer. "Our menu features signature dishes that are both innovative and deeply rooted in tradition."

Highlights include Whipped Organic Ricotta with Truffle Salsa, Chargrilled WA Octopus, Seppia Linguine, Cone Bay Barramundi and Sorrentine Limoncello Tiramisu - because it wouldn’t be an Italian restaurant without the famous dessert. The Smoked Cheddar Churro and Wagyu Beef Tartare make for the perfect snacks too! Scout tip: If you’re dining mid-week, don’t miss their lunch special: 2 courses for $59 or 3 for $72.

Drinks, of course, make a starring appearance, with the Summer Salt Bar completely reimagined under the expertise of award-winning Beverage Director Brendon Hill, Australia’s Cocktail Champion of 2014 (no biggie). “Our cocktail menu strikes a balance between approachable, easy-drinking options and adventurous, fun concoctions, with every drink telling a story that embodies the essence of Cronulla summers.”

Signature cocktails include the Aphrodite and the nostalgic Sunnyboy, which we guarantee are set to become fast favourites, and cocktails are accompanied by a selection of bar snacks.

The bar will operate as both a vibrant, standalone destination and a welcoming space for pre- and post-dining drinks, "We're excited to offer a space that caters to casual drop-ins as well as guests looking to enjoy drinks before or after dining," Hill shares. And starting September 13th, things get even more exciting with Salt Sessions—a weekend event series featuring DJs every Friday from 7:00pm to 11:00pm, Saturday from 5:00pm to 11:00pm, and Sunday from 2:00pm to 5:00pm.
