Is it really a month in the Shire without a hot new restaurant opening? Operating as a cafe from 8:00am each day and a restaurant, bar and lounge area by night, the incredibly chic Folk by Albi will be open seven days a week. The menu will be created and produced by Albi Cuni of Albi’s Taverna and will feature tapas, pizzas and some of Albi’s signature classics. Every Friday night, Rocksalt in Menai is cooking up a seriously divine three-course menu of Christmas in July-themed bites, including a wintry Christmas roast and homemade pudding - oh, and did we mention it’s BYO? Alternatively, The Pines will be putting on a Christmas-themed lunch/early dinner on Sunday the 28th of July, which features plenty of warming spices, lots of gravy and - everyone’s favourite - duck fat roasted sweet potatoes.

This annual 11 kilometre fun run/walk is returning once again on Sunday 21st July at 7:30am to raise funds for much-needed surf lifesaving equipment for the Wanda SLSC. Skip The City Chaos And Experience Westfield Miranda’s Field Of Lights Instead
Now that Vivid has shut up shop, continue the celebration at Westfield Miranda instead. This year, the festival (held from 4th until 21st July) features enchanting displays and mouthwatering dining options, including a glow in the dark fairy floss cart, donut decorating workshops, glow in the dark face painting and light-up balloon twisting. Celebrate Our Southern-most State At Hazelhurst Gallery
Spotlighting the work and stories of a diverse group of artists, Hazelhurst Gallery’s latest exhibition, titled New South, invites its viewers to participate in an exploration of the talent from South Australia, with a focus on painting. This is a must-see that will be held from the 6th July until the 8th September, with a special event on 6th July featuring hosted by exhibiting artists Jasper Knight, Huseyin Sami, Kansas Smeaton and Oliver Watts.
