It’s the cinema Shire residents have eagerly awaited and, let us tell you, the wait was well worth it. Behind the heritage-listed facade sits a luxurious fit-out that will undoubtedly exceed your every expectation. Boasting a total of six cinemas, the four larger theatres offer a significant upgrade to your classic cinema experience. Home to seriously comfy recliners, extra legroom and wider seating, you’ll never want to go to the movies without these features again! There's no need to worry about squirming through the aisle blocking someone’s view, tripping on another movie goer's bag, or losing your phone down the side of your seat. You’ve got plenty of room.
The two remaining cinemas offer a boutique auditorium experience. Where intimacy meets comfort, you’ll sink right into the plush Velvet and Sapphire lounges, complete with moveable footrests for ultra-ease. Seating is spaced out in groups of two, almost replicating a personal cinema bubble. If you’re dreaming of a romantic date night out, look no further.
Now for Artie’s Bar & Café. We wouldn’t be doing our job if we didn’t give you a complete rundown of the menu. From olives and a gourmet cheese platter to fries, toasties and pizza, there’s something for all foodies. It’s a no brainer that the fully-stocked bar is one of our favourite additions. It’s impossible to miss upon entry; we can almost hear it asking “G&T anyone?”
Guilty of multiple visits to date, we’ve tried the cheese platter, pizza, fries and mixed olives. After reading Truffle Triple Cream Brie, Aged-Cheddar and Quince - it was hard to look much further. Can you blame us? Cheese, a glass of red and a movie, there’s no better trio.
Some other tried and tested recommendations… The BBQ Chicken and Bacon Pizza. It’s perfect for kids, easy to eat during the movie, and great value at only $13.90. If you’re after just a nibble to pair with your drink of choice, opt for the drool-worthy Sweet Potato Fries or Mixed Olives. They’re both winners. For dessert, head to Treat City for some candy bar classics. We’ll take maltesers and popcorn, thanks.
