Cronulla RSL Debut An All-New Menu
After 13 years, it was time for a (mouthwatering) change
After 13 years, favourite watering hole Cronulla RSL has announced a brand new menu, led by a brand new team. For the crew behind the brand, it’s a changing of the guard that follows perfectly in step with the recent refurbishment of the Deck and the refreshed cocktail menu, with even more transformations set to come in the new year.
The crew set to step in and really up the ante at this local institution are namely Catering HQ (helmed by Shire local Steve Sidd), who boasts an impressive track record that spans the likes of Castle Hill RSL, Pittwater RSL and Lynwood Country Club, to name just a few.
Armed with a personal understanding of what us Shire folk want, Catering HQ has developed a totally revamped menu that focuses on diversity as well as seasonal, locally sourced produce and ingredients with a strong lean into seafood. But of course, this has all been fit in with the classics that make RSLs so popular: expect to find tried-and-true options like chicken schnitzel alongside fresh takes like gin and beetroot salmon gravlax, and charred corn and quinoa salad. Our favourite? The tiered seafood platter - because the only thing better than sharing in an array of fish and crustaceans is when it's a multi-storey situation. And to make things super, super easy and fuss-free, you can now order via QR code from your table - though you can still head up to order at the counter if you prefer, of course.
New Bottomless Menu
However, it’s not just the spanking-new menu that has us excited. From December 1st, Cronulla RSL are also introducing their own take on bottomless sessions - right in time for summer.
The two-hour all-inclusive experience starts at $85 per person and three package varieties are available. Drinks include house beer, wine and selected cocktails, so you can kick back on the Deck or in the Sunroom and soak up the sun with an experience that is synonymous with summer in the Shire.
Though once admittedly a little tired, Cronulla RSL now possesses a dining and drinking offering fitting of its next-to-none shoreside location - and it’s all just the beginning (watch this space come February 2024). To find out more and see the new menu, you can visit cronullarsl.com.au, where you can also make a reservation (including for spaces previously managed exclusively by the events team).
