There aren’t many who would turn down the latter - after all, who wouldn’t want to spend weekends in and out of the water or cool off with a refreshing dip after a long day — it’s the ultimate summer dream. So, what if we told you that you could win one?
Bringing back their charity hit, this time titled ‘Wanna Win A Pool?’, Cronulla Pools is giving one lucky local the chance to do just that.
And the best bits? It’s just $25 a ticket, and all funds go directly to the Children’s Cancer Institute. Yes, every cent!
We spoke to the team to get all the details.
How much did you raise with your last Children’s Cancer Institute raffle?
We were absolutely blown away by the support of our community, and collectively we raised $103,000. For the Children’s Cancer Institute, a donation of this size funds the annual salary of a full-time researcher.
Why the Children’s Cancer Institute?
We were invited along to kick off the Children’s Cancer Institute event, CEO Dare To Cure. The CEO Dare To Cure is all about CEOs and business owners putting themselves out of their comfort zone to raise money for the kids. After spending an evening with the incredible people at the institute, we were compelled to give back and use what we have to do so. What started as an opportunity to fundraise turned into rallying all of our trades and services together to donate a pool and raise over $100k.
Tell us about this year’s raffle, ‘Wanna Win A Pool’
We’re so excited to be back this year! Our ‘Wanna Win A Pool’ comp launches on Sunday, September 15th and the winner will be drawn on November 21st. Our goal is simple, to raise as much money as we can for the incredible people at Children’s Cancer Institute. There are other prizes to be won, too, including two nights in a cosy Blue Mountains Airbnb, a full landscape design package with Surround and a signed jersey and game day experience with the Cronulla Sharks.
What’s included in the grand prize?
The lucky winner will receive a beautiful 6m x 3m concrete pool - designed, approved and built! It will feature an inbuilt cover, electric heat pump, designer beadcrete, and glass fencing.
